Quote of the day

The American Empire has lost Iran and Iraq. What of Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia is the keystone of America’s empire. What would Uncle Sam be without it? What would he do to control the oil found there? What would become of the empire if Washington could no longer control, albeit indirectly, Saudi Arabia’s oil?
Someday — Soon! — we will have answers to these questions. Yet we do not even know the day when we will be thus enlightened. We know only that the American empire, like every one of its forerunners, will perish.
